Pixelate Faces to Hide Identity Online Free

Pixelation is an intentionally visible editorial treatment. The tool detects candidate faces locally and starts with a mosaic that you can resize and strengthen. Block size matters: fine pixelation may preserve the position of facial features, while larger blocks discard more local detail. Use manual regions for missed faces, name tags, house numbers, or other identifiers, then inspect the full-resolution export. Pixelation is not a guarantee of anonymity and does not replace consent, policy, or legal review.

How does the pixelate face tool work?

The detector creates editable mosaic regions over candidate faces in your browser. Review every region, add any missed faces manually, and choose a block size that removes useful facial structure at the exported resolution.

Is pixelation always enough to hide identity?

No. Fine blocks can preserve recognizable structure, and clothing, hair, location, captions, or other context may still identify a person. Use larger blocks or a fully opaque cover when the consequence of recognition is high.

Can I adjust the pixel size?

Yes. Smaller blocks preserve more visual detail; larger blocks discard more local detail. Judge the result at full export size rather than relying on the editor preview alone.
