Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blur Face ("Blur Face," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit blur-face.com or use our browser-based photo and video privacy tools.
1. Files You Process
Images and videos selected in the Blur Face editor are processed locally in your web browser. They are not uploaded to our servers for face detection, editing, or export. We do not receive, store, inspect, or build a database from the contents of those files.
Your browser and device still temporarily hold the file data needed to run the editor. Closing or refreshing the page clears the editor state, subject to normal browser and device behavior. Files you download remain under your control.
2. Information Collected When You Visit
Like most websites, our hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or interaction events.
We use this information to operate and secure the site, understand aggregate usage, diagnose errors, improve usability, prevent fraud, and support the site through advertising. We do not intentionally connect this website activity to the visual contents of the images or videos you edit.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site traffic and how visitors interact with pages and tools. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies and process technical usage information according to their own policies. Clarity interaction data may include clicks, scrolling, and page navigation, but our editor is designed so that the contents of locally selected media are not sent to analytics providers.
4. Google AdSense, Third-Party Advertising, and Cookies
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Advertising cookies and similar technologies may be used to select, limit, and measure ads; prevent fraud; and provide personalized or non-personalized advertising. Other third-party advertising vendors or ad networks may also use cookies when permitted through our advertising settings.
You can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google My Ad Center. You can also manage participating companies' personalized advertising through AboutAds, where available, and control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling personalized ads does not necessarily stop all advertising or all cookies; ads may still be selected using contextual or limited information.
For more information, review how Google uses information in advertising.
5. Consent Choices
Where required, visitors may be shown a consent message before advertising or analytics technologies are used. Your available controls depend on your region and the consent platform in use. You may also change browser cookie settings or use the advertising preference links above.
6. Data Sharing
We may share or allow processing of website usage information with service providers that support hosting, security, analytics, advertising, and site operation. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or respond to lawful requests. We do not sell the images or videos you process in the editor because those files are not uploaded to us.
7. Retention
We do not retain the media files processed locally in the editor. Retention periods for server logs, analytics data, cookies, and advertising data are controlled by the relevant service and our account settings. Those providers may retain information for security, measurement, legal compliance, and service improvement as described in their policies.
8. Security
We use HTTPS and reasonable technical measures to protect the website. No Internet service, browser, device, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and reviewing exported files before sharing them.
9. Children's Privacy
Blur Face is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request account registration or collect media files from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a website feature, contact us so we can review the issue.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information processed about you, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. To submit a request, email us using the address below. We may need information sufficient to verify and respond to the request.
11. External Links
Our site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to those external services.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this policy as the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
13. Contact Us
